The Ten Sentences series started life as in-house documents. We found that each time we shared them with our clients they loved them, so we thought: why not share these with everyone?

Rather than serving as step by step guides, Ten Sentences offer short and sweet food for thought on topics ranging from brand values to supply chains.

What do we mean by organisational culture?

Organisational culture can be a hard thing to define but in simple terms it’s a shared way of doing things that define your organisation as a community.

Everything from your values to your rituals add up to form your organisational culture. That’s not to say that every individual within an organisation does things in the same way. It’s more complicated than that – but as staff come and go, what remains (albeit in a constant state of transition) is the culture, the intangible fuzzy thing that exists somewhere in between everyone.
