Corporate partnerships are a crucial income stream for the UK’s largest children’s charity Barnardo’s. However, bidding for a partnership will often culminate in a staff vote and lacking content designed for this purpose, the charity often failed to convert these valuable opportunities.
They approached us to create a short film to be used in these bids. A film that describes the broad ways in which Barnardo’s make a difference and establishes a strong emotional connection, with a diverse range of audiences, in a short amount of time.
We began the project with a half day workshop with the corporate partnerships team and other key stakeholders. The workshop explored the values behind the organisaiton, the values of corporate stakeholders and the emotional journey that the film must take viewers on.
The project culminated in the creation of a 2 minute film, that fuses animation and archive footage. The piece explores the challenges that children face and the solutions that Barnardo’s offer, through the imaginative play of a child.
